Welcome to my blog, Mitten Mindset!  I’m glad your here………

My friends and family think I’m crazy……I always loved to travel and I’m totally in LOVE with Michigan the Mitten State!  Travel and shopping are probably my two favorite things to do.  I live in Grand Blanc (Born & raised in Flint) and just LOVE to explore our amazing state.  We are on the road quite a bit and live a very busy, full of excitement and surprises kind of lifestyle.  I work in Downtown Flint and that city owns a HUGE piece of my heart.

But I’m not going to lie-I try to get to Northern Michigan as often as possible!  What’s not to love up there?  We love the all of the wineries, amazing restaurants, lakes and rivers  Our family takes a lot of vacations, most of which are exploring places in Michigan including the Upper Peninsula.  I plan to take you to all of the place I take my family so stay tuned for plenty of adventures here!

I also have a son that keep me on my toes- Alex is 13 and loves playing baseball. He has a kind heart and is a super special person in my life. His social life has pretty much blown mine away at his young age.  He enjoys our lifestyle and loves exploring the Mitten State with his mama 🙂

Not all those who wander are lost right?  I’m known as the gypsy of my family because I’m always on the road it seems!  I have been to the UP for the past seven summers exploring new places.  Have you been to Lake of the Clouds??  Amazing-it will take your breath away!

Another FAVORITE spot is The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising, MI. That is a must see spot if you haven’t been-I was fortunate enough to kayak Lake Superior there last summer and it was breathtaking. I am sharing my stories to inspire others so that you can experience MI travel to amazing, beautiful places in Michigan like never before!  There are so many hidden gems in our fabulous state and I’m going to be sharing my journey with you!!  There’s always going to be an excuse not to travel, and it’d be a shame to keep waiting just for it to never happen.  So get in your car, boat, bicycle, motorcycle-whatever and start exploring the Mitten State!
